My Øredev presentation and the code

This year I will be presenting at Øredev, the best conference in Europe.
I will be talking about MbUnit, my favorite testing framework, on wednesday after lunch.
The conference lasts the entire week 2-6 November.
The new database andministration and performance tool SQL8r (”Escalator”) is now available for download.

After a long silence I’m back

Det verkar inte finnas några krav på teknisk windows-kompetens för att få översätta programvara till svenska, en anledning i raden för att inte köra windows på svenska. Men vi kör svenska på en dator ändå… Vid installation av en förvissa gammal bluetooth grej dök denna upp och slog mig med häpnad:

Installed the cool Wordpress plug-in Snap this week, I was quite surprised the first time I encountered in on an a site, and was amazed by the fact that I could have it for free…
It generates a little preview of the page a link links to when you hover the mouse pointer above it.

Sometimes it takes some time to generate the preview, but ofter it’s really quick.
I’m not a big fan of VB.NET, maybe because I’m an old C programmer ever since Lattice C (Later SAS/C) on the Amiga 500, those were good times, programming with MUI 1994 was pretty much where .NET is today (at least for small-medium sized desktop applications).
The screen shot below from Visual Studio 2005 brings a new saying: “Verbosity brings confusion”
